From 2009 the MILONE MARE SPORT shop offer us a base in Catania, in front of the Ognina harbour. A room in the shop is be used for theory lessons and special prices on the equipment are offered to the kayakers for selected items. From the little beach into the harbour going north-east is half an hour paddling from the stacks of Acitrezza and the rock of Acicastello. Paddling further north there is the great cliff of Acireale. Paddling south from Ognina, it is possible to reach the harbour of Catania in 15 minutes where starts the 20 km long beach of Plaja, with the wildlife reserve of the Simeto's river mouth. |
