Sea kayak excursion near Catania The lavic littoral

At about 5 nautical miles North of Catania, there is the most beautiful lavic littoral of Mt. Etna volcano.
The rocks outcropping here has been formed from the oldest activity of the volcano, when this place was just an off-shore, deep sea. Despite the rocky shore there are a lot of possibilities to land into sheltered harbours and with the numerous stacks, rocks and small islands the place is an excellent location for kayaking and snorkeling. Moreover, waters are warm for most of the year.
The place is also deeply rich in mythology from the times of the Greek colonization.
